The Dalton Village Park located on Mill Street across from the Hardees on Mill Street is another great
place to picnic. Three pavillions at this facility supply ample space for larger gatherings. Playgrounds
keep the younger children entertained for hours.

Softball is big in Dalton and this field, adjacent to the park allows the local High School team and
others to enjoy this sport. Spectators are encouraged to pull up a lawn chair or to take a seat on the
bleachers and root for your team.

The trailhead of the Sippo Valley Trail is located at the Village Green Park and heads north
and then east out of town. The trail is 2.5 miles long in Wayne County and connects to another
6.5 miles in Stark County. Scenic bridges like the one above are found within the first mile of the trail.

Streams like this meander by the Sippo Valley Trail and provide a scenic experience for hikers
and bikers alike.

Touch-Me-Nots and sun-ripened blackberries line the paved trail as you take a lazy trip and
improve your health at the same time.

Trail development and maintenance needs financial support from local citizens and private enterprise.
